As a sysadmin just noticed weird login tries stacking up in my auth logs last night. Looks like someone hammering the SSH port nonstop dont even pause. They keep poking with names like root admin and postgres and flop every single time. Im keeping watch cause this smells like a botnet scan on easy targets.

Just poked through our webserver logs and found nonstop port scans hitting the admin panel at dawn. The pattern was weird like someone guessin random usernames in rapid fire.
