Checked the syslogs yesterday and found some really odd traffic that burst out of nowhere. It looks like someone tried to mask their origin but the header details gave him away. Could be a bot herding attack or maybe a misconfigured proxy gate doing weird stuff. I need to sit down with more coffee and sort this crap out before it hits the fan.

Last night i saw relentless login attempts bouncing off my ssh server from some random corner of the world. They were pounding port 22 non stop for over an hour like some code slugger with a vendetta. Its kinda ridiculous how these bots never sleep and keep coming back every couple minutes. I almost got curious enough to reply to them just to see what sloppy script theyre running.

Just found a weird spike in the server log from some cloud endpoint going crazy overnight. it slammed the login page with hundreds of tries in seconds as if it had nothing better to do. patterns are off and none of our usual firewall rules even blipped a warning. i mean who crafts a custom bot to hammer hashes without a clue. stay sharp out there this one left a bad smell.

I’m seein cracks in the system more weird than my old masonry job. I was pokin through the dashboard logs last night and some faraway ghost bot keeps hammering my site. Tried changing the config but they keep morphing their user agent or hopping across proxies and its driving me nuts.
