i was combing through the server logs yesteray and stumbled on endless failed login sparks. looked like some runaway script was hammering the auth port nonstop. tracing that mess nearly drove me nuts cause the log rotation was all jumbled. i slapped a block on that range but it feels like the first sign of a much bigger headache
