I’m a professor messing about with my home lab and noticed the logs lighting up from some random endpoint i could not place. It tried to guess my admin credentials in dozens of back to back attempts over night. Could be a script kiddie or a misconfigured network machine somewhere on the planet. Either way it feels sketchy and folks need to check their access logs every now and then. Cant just ignore weird internet footsteps like they are harmless.
