I’ve been staring at our auth logs and there’s a single host that wont stop hammering port 22 all night. It almost feels like it’s crawling through every address in the /24 looking for an open door. I cant tell if its just some bored script kiddie or a lurking botnet but it smells fishy. Our firewall logs keep spiking every couple minutes with odd TCP flags that dont line up. Seriously hope someone with sharper eyes can dig into this before it gets ugly.
