Just saw a wierd spike in the server logs from an outside address poking us every few seconds. It kept hammering port 22 with root login attempts til the firewall slapped it down. I bet its part of some old botnet trying to guess creds all day long. someone should keep an eye on this cause looks like they scanning for vurns in our setup. Better lock down them ssh ports and change your default password asap.
