Finally sorted out why the servers been acting wonky at midnight they kept eating my cpu cycles. Theres been nonstop chatter from some offsite host doing the jitterbug across my auth logs. I swear ive never seen so many failed logins come through in a handful of seconds its like someone flipping a switch on portugal. Might just add it to the blacklist and call it a day.
